This event was also the second annual champagne supper benefiting The Actors Studio
Perhaps the two most famous actors of their generation, Marilyn Monroe and Marlon Brando were rumored to have briefly dated in 1955, after her divorce from Joe DiMaggio and before her relationship with Arthur Miller. Brando escorted Monroe to the premiere of The Rose Tattoo and the two remained friendly until the end of her life in 1962.
Details:
Very unique press print sandwiched with an overlay of acetate that's been airbrushed to enhance the image for publishing (see scans). On the reverse is an agency stamp and red stamp in Japanese kanji that says "not to be used for advertising".
Single weight, glossy ferrotype gelatin silver print.

Condition:
Print has some handling dents throughout and a crease and tear that's been repaired professionally by a photo archivist. This extends from the middle of the right edge into the image some 4 inches.
