ORIGINAL SET OF BLUEPRINTS - UNIVERSAL "STAR TREK" ADVENTURE - 1987 - UNIQUE!!
This ORIGINAL set of Blueprints was for the construction of the sets for the Universal Hollywood "Star Trek" Adventure, an audience participation experience that was part of the Universal Studios Hollywood Tour, which ran from 1988 to 1994.
Ten people were selected from the audience, taken "backstage" in a special theatre that seated 1,200 people, and dressed in Starfleet or Klingon costumes. They then were coached for speaking parts. Shortly thereafter, they were on stage, acting in a short "Star Trek" movie, which was recorded while being performed in front of the live audience. These newly minted actors had their scenes interwoven with actual scenes from "Star Trek" films with Kirk, Spock, Scotty and Uhura! And participants (and audience members) could purchase a VHS copy to take home! (Note: I admit to doing this myself!)
William "Bill" F. O'Brien, the project's Art Director, sent me my very own set of Blueprints!  You will notice some fading along the creases - that is because, until this week, they had never been unfolded. I have stored them safely away from sunlight all this time! They were unwrapped for the first time this week so we could photograph them for this auction. I had never before opened them up and spread them out! They are labeled as follows:

Each one measures 42" x 30"
This set of 5 Blueprints is one of a handful that were made; they were never released the public!
